Tell Them Why
Todays lesson has just a few words but if you practice it, you will get much more positive results as a leader and as a parent.
One of the most important things in communication is to tell the people you are communicating with WHY you have made a certain decision . . . or WHY the Company has made a certain decision. They may not like the reason you give them, but everyone deserves to know WHY! . . . Do this for you children as well. The days of being seen and not heard are over. Even when it was popular it was not a good practice. Do it because I say so, is also a practice which will bite you one day. When you don’t tell me why, I make up the worst possible scenario in my mind and I don’t feel respected…Lee
