If anyone speaks badly of you, live so none will believe it.

The dictionay is the only place where success comes before work.

The only safe way to destroy an enemy is to make him or her your friend.

There are no shortcuts to any place worth going.

Form good habits-they are just as hard to break as bad ones!

After all is said and done, usually more is said than done.

It is a great thing to do little things well.

Failure is the path of least persistence.

If you’re arguing with an idiot, make sure he is not doing the same thing.

Think more about what you do have than what you don’t have and be grateful.

Some people who are not paid what they are worth ought to be glad.

Influence is like a savings account. The less you use it the more you’ve got.

Example is not the main thing in influencing others. It is the only thing.

Make a difference! Otherwise you are just taking up space.

Flattery is all right-if you don’t inhale.

The greatest danger for most of us i not that our aim is too highand we miss it, but that our aim is too low and we reach it.

Consider the postage stamp; its usefulness consists of its ability to stick to one thing until it get there.

Attitudes are contagious…is yours worth catching?

Attitude: ut’s the little thing that makes a difference.

Hiring people smarter than you proves you’re smarther than they are.

Age is not important unless you are wine or cheese.

A leader’s job is not to make followers, it is to make more leaders.

There’s never anything new in the newspapers or on the news. All the same things are happening-only to different people.

The surest way to mishandle a problem is to avoid facing it.

and lastly for me is, “Inside every older person there’s a younger person wondering what happened.

YOU CONTROL YOUR LIFE….KEEP YOUR LIFE UNDER CONTROL….Lee

Love the postage stamp consideration. Way too many of us do too many things and never get anyway. What a novel idea to stick to one thing and get it done. Just reminds me of the importance of remembering that successful achievements are actually achieving the goal.

Lee, thanks for posting the great wisdom found in these “bite-sized” quotes. I copied several down to keep in my bag, post on my desk, and keep in the car to review while I’m stuck in traffic. I especially like the ones about attitude because it’s easy to let my usual positive attitude slip when in the company of others who are generally negative. A positive attitude sets one apart from the crowd like no other attribute.

Another simple thought for the day I learned from inspirational speaker, Les Brown, is also a terrific attitude-booster: “Let the word, NO, be your vitamin spurring you on resist a negative response.”

Looking forward to your next blog post!
